Why am I self-publishing?
At some point, I’m sure there will be people who will ask me why I chose to self-publish Starscape. After all, this is so much more work in many different ways. I have to personally format my book’s interior, create a compelling cover image, write a summary, single-handedly promote my book… It might seem like a lot of needless, painful work when I could instead spend my time finding an agent to represent me to a traditional publisher. So why am I self-publishing?

-When I get stuck writing, I never use traditional writing prompts. Instead, I look at landscape photos to inspire me, or I listen to music. (The Lord of the Rings soundtracks always help!)
-I have a horrid habit of chewing on my tongue whilst I write.

I’ve never been much of a poet – I much prefer prose – but every now and then the mood strikes and I write frantically. What kinds of poems do I write? Honestly, anything really, depending on the inspiration. Feelings. Narrative. Comic. Plain silly (this one is my forte). Much of my poetry is inspired by Tolkien. A lot is also prompted by nature. Below, I’d like to share my favourite that I’ve written.
